Indianish
Indian English is so funny. It is the national language, but it seems to have gone down it's own unique and loopy path since the end of the British rule in 1947. A taxi driver greatly admired my Nalgene water bottle and asked me where it was from. I told him it was American to which he replied: "It is looking so many good and different. Beautiful!"

When it comes to Indian english, I'd say its rather "evolved" since the British rule. And the National language is Hindi not english, though english happens to be the most widely spoken here! Unfortunately, most Indians tend to associate english speaking with some sort of a status - the better english you speak, the more sophisticated and of a certain standard you're considered to be. Maybe this is the side effect of the Brit rule. Anyway, I wonder whether anybody finds the spoken english of the French or the Russians or many such nations where their own language is given preference over a foreign language like english, any funnier?? Their grammar and english leaves much to be desired for....
